Sonidos del Cerrado

Sonidos del Cerrado brings together six extended recordings from this Paraguayan ecoregion. The sequence visits Chovoreca, Tierra Buena and Aguarañu, moving from the first voices before dawn to the sounds of night.

Released on 5 September 2024, the album runs for three and a half hours. Track titles identify the place and time of day, inviting listeners to hear how each environment changes as time passes.

Listening notes

Let each track play for several minutes. Listen for voices approaching, overlapping or falling silent; the track titles identify the place and time of the recording.
