Sonidos Invisibles: Retratos del Brasil
Retratos del Brasil brings together seven soundscapes over 52 minutes. The journey passes through Rio de Janeiro, the mountains of Minas Gerais and the Amazon, then continues with natural environments, waves and two night scenes.
Rather than presenting bird voices separately, each track keeps the sounds of an environment together. This entry describes the third edition from 2016, also titled Brazilian Soundscapes on its cover.
Listening notes
I recommend listening with headphones, as suggested in the booklet, to appreciate the spatial arrangement of the sounds. Follow the seven tracks: Sounds of Rio de Janeiro, Mountains of Minas Gerais, The Voice of Amazonia, The Sound of Life, Waves, Night 1 and Night 2.
